Amy Elbow M.S., CCC-SLP is a certified speech language pathologist and owner of Resilience Speech.
Amy has over fifteen years of experience providing speech and language services to individuals across the lifespan. She completed her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and graduated with her Masters of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Amy’s fellowship year was spent with Mid-Del Public Schools providing services for elementary school students before moving to the skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. In that environment, Amy was able to work with adults experiencing setbacks in their communication and swallowing skills as the result of illness and injury.
Amy has spent the last eight years with Edmond Public Schools, serving children at the elementary and secondary levels. During her time in the public school setting, she also worked part-time in the private practice setting and with families in early intervention services.
Amy enjoys working with all ages, but her most fulfilling settings are those which allow her to develop strong relationships with patients and their families. As a result, she founded Resilience Speech Therapy Services in 2020. Amy believes strongly in an individualized approach to therapy, leveraging patient strengths to make progress.
When not working, you can find Amy relaxing, spending time with her husband Joe, daughters, Katie and Gracie and enjoying some Oklahoma football games in the fall. Boomer Sooner!
