American Speech Language Hearing Association

ASHA is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association for audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology support personnel; and students.

SoonerStart

SoonerStart is Oklahoma’s early intervention program for infants and toddlers (birth to three years old) with disabilities and developmental delays. This program is mandated by federal and state law and is funded through various state and federal sources. There is no direct cost to families for these services, regardless of their income.

Oklahoma Autism Network

The Oklahoma Autism Network is committed to improving the outcomes and quality of life for individuals with autism and their families through education, professional development, advocacy, and systems change while respecting individual preferences, adhering to research and best practices, and promoting community inclusion.

 

Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

The Stuttering Foundation

The Stuttering Foundation of America is a non-profit organization that provides free online resources, services and support to those who stutter and their families, as well as support for research into the causes of stuttering.

Apraxia Kids

Apraxia Kids is a non-profit organization that educates and strengthens the support systems in the lives of children diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech.

 

Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma

The Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded by parents of children with Down syndrome, who's purpose is to “raise awareness and provide resources, as well as promote acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome.”

Parkinson’s Foundation

The Parkinson’s Foundation is a national organization whose mission is to make life better for people with parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure.

Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma

The Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma is a non-profit organization in Oklahoma dedicated to supporting Parkinson’s patients and their families by offering educational conferences, support groups, voice therapy programs, and individual consultations. Their mission is improving the quality of life of the estimated 15,000 Parkinson’s patients throughout the state.
